3 Plays Make Difference in JV League Opener
The JV Trinity League opener between the Santa Margarita Eagles and the St. John Bosco Braves came down to 2 fourth down plays and a third play to cap off the game. In between was a great defensive effort by the Eagles and at times an offense that clicked but just not as consistent as needed for the Eagles to get in the endzone and answer the Braves. Played at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, California these two-teams demostrated excellence in sportsmanship and played high quality football. Paul J. Eagles Sweep Royals in 3 Games
The Santa Margarita Eagles Girls Volleyball Team played for the first time in the renovated Mosio Pavilion and they did't disappoint. The Eagles hosted the Rosary Royals in Trinity League Volleyball. MV Wins League, Marinovich Breaks Record, LB Wins, El Toro Beats DH
The Year is 1987, it's the football season as the Orange Panthers Freshman Team goes 10-0, Brett Johnson and the El Toro Chargers beat Dana Hills, the Diablos beat the Cougars to win league in a thriller with Troy Kopp at QB, Todd Marinovich, in the same game, sets the all time passing record and Danny Lane quaterbacks his Laguna Beach Artists football team to a title. Eagles Dominate Olympians Move to 4-1
The Santa Margarita Eagles honored our First Responders, theire Seniors, were acknowledged for their California Cup Cal Max Preps Cup Winner for Athletics for the 2022-23 school year and on the field dominated the Leuzinger Olympians winning their fourth game behind a balanced offensive attack and a strong defense that only allowed one-touchdown. Eagles Fly Past the Patriots in Bakersfield
The Santa Margarita Eagles took their game on the road to Bakersfield, California to take on the Liberty Patriots. The Patriots got off to a fast start but the Eagles quickly answered. Trent Mosley had an exceptional game as the sophomore scores almost every time he touches the ball. The Eagles defense rose to the occassion in front of a raucious Patriot crowd. Huskies Eagles Live Up to Hype in Week 2
Week 2 of the High School Fpptball Season pitted two-teams destined for post season play even if it's only the second game of the year. The Centennial Huskies were playing back to back Trinity League schools as one week ago they lost to Mater Dei. On the road they played the Santa Margarita Eagles at Saddleback College. The ball took some crazy bounces on both sides as these two teams played an entertaining game of high school football. Credit the Eagles down their starting QB as Hunter Melton has stepped innicely. The Saints Halt the Path of the Eagles
The Crean Lutheran Saints hosted the Santa Margarita Eagles in Girls High School Flag Football. Defense played a major role in this one and some clutch plays by the Saints was the difference in the Saints first win of the season. The Eagles certainly had their bright spots as they take what they learned from this one to regroup for the exciting season to come. SM Eagles Make Flag Football History
The Santa Margarita Eagles hosted the Dana Hills Dolphins in the first Girls Flag Football Game in school history. Not only did they play they shutout the Dolphins in convincing fashion scoring on both saides of the ball. The Dolphins played well but the Eagles outperformored the Dolphins with a quick defensive touchdown. Exceptional flag football in a very entertaining game. Enjoy as Paul J. AIM Classic 1987 CV SC Football, Mud Bowl and SB College FB
Incredible week of action in the Fall of 1987. Paul brings you football with Capistrano Valley (Coach Dick Enright) and San Clemente (Coach Dave Elecciri) as the friends face off against each other. The Orange Panthers and the Woodbridge Warriors face off in a mud bowl while Saddleback College host Palomar College in Saturday afternoon football.
