Coach Billy Nealy's Freshman Eagles of Santa Margarita had a crushing win over the Los Alamitos Griffins. Joshua Tuchek started the game off with a kick off for a touchdown. The Eagles never looked back putting up 53 unanswered points to stay undefeated. The Eagles defense was stellar with forced fumbles, interceptions and two TD saving tackles. One by Brock DeFries on a kickoff return and one by Braydon Higgins at the 1-yard line on a 4th down bootleg by the QB. Higgins made the tackle, stripped the ball and recovered the fumble. Ryan McCartie had an interception, Sean Embree played great on both sides of the ball with a fumble recovery and an interception. Anthony Bays also had an interception. Tyler Parker scored a TD off a blocked punt by Jaden William and Jackson Kollock scored on a QB run that was electric. He also threw 3 TD passes. Carter Jones scored a TD at his TE position and made key tackles on defense. Luke Anderson scored on a run, blocked for a TD and once again played solid defense. Lucas Owens had a receiving TD.
